Ability4Good is a community-based nonprofit, operating as part of Enterprise4Good. We develop social networks, offer services and create caring communities for those that are most vulnerable so that they can live with dignity, achieving their goals and aspirations.

Ability4Good provides a family centered, play-based, multidisciplinary approach for service delivery to children ages 0-17 and their families. These services provide consultation and coaching to a child and their family. It is intended to support them in acquiring specific skills, learning strategies and building capacity to help the family promote their child’s participation in activities of normal daily living. Program delivery borrows from several intervention approaches, including the Early Start Denver Model, SCERTS, Hanen and Floortime. The program is overseen by a Clinical Director and involves contributions from many disciplines and specialists including: Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Consultants, Psychologists, Physiotherapists and Speech Language Pathologists.

Services & Programming Offered

STRIVE Program (Respite Services)

  • A center-based respite aide program, which aims to build friendships with peers through play and social activities while providing respite for families. The STRIVE program is for all children ages 3 to 17 years old.
  • Children will have access to activities, such as games, arts and crafts, sensory play, meditation, and much more.
  • Participants are placed in their age appropriate groups.

THRIVE Program (Group Recreation)

  • THRIVE is a community aide program, which aims to provide support and enable children with a range of disabilities to participate in recreational, social, and community activities with other children.
  • THRIVE programs are for all children from ages 3 to 17 years old.

Triple P (Positive Parenting Program)

  • Triple P is a world-acclaimed parenting program. We can help you develop effective management strategies for dealing with your child's behaviour, enrich family relationships, and support developmental issues your child may be experiencing. You can set your own goals and practice strategies with the support of the practitioner. Typically, the program consists of 10 sessions.

Intervention Services

  • Our intervention services works with families to ensure all members can function in a way that encourages growth and enjoyment in all aspects of family life. We work with the child and their families in their homes and communities, to ensure consistency of skill development and generalization of skills for all family members. Recognizing that all families are different and require individualized support, one of our program's main goals is to give all family members the tools and knowledge to build their confidence in addressing the needs of the child with special needs, as well as the family as a whole.

Radiate Counselling Centre (Counselling Program)

  • Aims in improving mental wellness and building healthy relationships in our community. The program offers affordable short term online or in-person services for people aiming to enhance their lives and achieve their goals and aspirations. Radiate Counselling Centre offers the following services:

  • Mental wellness workshops
  • Let's Play & Chat Online Group Social skills group for children
