For nearly 50 years, Kerby Centre has been a place where seniors made friends, built community, learned, exercised, and sought resources. A place where “whole health” is the foundation of service and where aging is honoured.

 

Located in the heart of Calgary, Kerby Centre is a not-for-profit, multi-service organization committed to enhancing the ability of older adults 55+ to live healthy, productive lives with a focus on their mental, physical, social and emotional well-being.

  • Adult Day Program - Kerby Adult Day Program is for older adults 50+ with health challenges who cannot stay on their own without support. All services are provided by nurses or health care aides. The program also provides respite to caregivers by allowing them time for themselves. We promote wellness by providing stimulating activities in a healthy, safe, and supportive environment.   • Kerby Rotary Shelter - Shelter for older adults fleeing elder abuse Kerby Rotary Shelter is a safe place for men and women 55+ who are experiencing elder abuse. We can help you regain your confidence, sense of peace and place in the community. For More Info Click Here

  • Elder Abuse Resources - Elder abuse is any action or inaction by a person in a position of trust that causes harm to an older person. This includes emotional, physical, sexual, or financial abuse as well as neglect and violation of rights.   • Thrive - Grocery delivery and supportive visits. In some cases, emergency and/or short term Thrive participation is available for individuals returning home from the hospital or recovering from illness or surgery. For More Info Click Here

  • Food Rescue Program - Food Rescue is a program to save edible food from going to landfill from various food providers across the city. We have a dual goal: to prevent environmental waste and to redistribute rescued food to address food insecurity for older adults in our community. For More Info Click Here
